Partnering on a wastewater upgrade

Stornoway has been working in partnership with its client, Decmil, to undertake upgrade works on a wastewater treatment plant on Woodside’s Karratha based Pluto LNG project (plant located in the northern part of Western Australia). The project involves complete plant re-engineering and commissioning of a 150KL/day treatment plant, servicing site workers. Once the upgrade is completed, the plant will produce Class A recycled water, suitable for reuse on site.

The key challenges were to work within the strict operational requirements of the Pluto project while completing the works within a very tight schedule (maximum 12 weeks on-site). To achieve that, Stornoway and Decmil have worked collaboratively from the very early stages of the project to develop the scope, methodology and costing. To ensure optimum use of site resources, delivery is also a joint effort.
