Stornoway Water in Malaysia

Stornoway Water is currently manufacturing a Potable Water Treatment Plant and Sewage Treatment Plant for the RAAF/RMAF base upgrade in Malaysia.

The Stornoway AQEO treatment plants were selected by The Australian Defence Force following a recommendation by Kane Constructions and their specialist consultant firm after a thorough investigation of domestic and international companies to meet their unique technical and logistical requirements.

Stornoway will supply:

• AQEO 160kL/day Ultrafiltration (UF) Membrane Water Treatment Plant for Potable Water to the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG)
• AQEO 130kL/day Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) Sewage Treatment Plant that will produce Class ‘A’ recycled water to Australian EPA Guidelines

The plants had to meet strict specifications including:

• Easily Transportable to Malaysia
• Low operating costs
• Factory tested prior to shipping and installation
• Third party accredited process design
• Easy to operate and maintain
• Proven design and performance
