Starting out as a means of supplementing farm income, our quarrying operations represent a continuous thread through Stornoway’s life as an infrastructure products and services provider. In fact, we still mine the same weathered basalt deposit discovered on the farm in the early 1970’s.

It is from this heartland, Stornoway supplies a range of high quality quarry products across Northern Tasmania. Ranging from fine crusher dusts to oversize rock, this screened and crushed gravel is suitable for a wide range of construction applications including pipe laying, building site preparation and road maintenance.

Like the rest of our business, our quarrying operations are built around providing a more personal service. After all, our commitment is to be the best, not the biggest.
