Medium sand
Stornoway Quarrying's medium sand is sourced through the quarry site at Birralea before being trucked to Bakers Beach to be thoroughly washed and then dried and screened to meet client application demand.
Stornoway Quarrying's medium sand (16:30 or passing 1.18mm - 600 micron) is washed, dried and screened to remove all impurities such as organic material and silts to provide the cleanest and purest sand available. Its application is for high end aquaculture and agriculture filters but is equally at home in commercial and domestic filtration systems.
All Stornoway Quarrying silica sands are PI negative creating the perfect pure sand and are availble in 20kg bags, one tonne bulk bags and by the tonne in trucks and trailers.
