Fine sand
Stornoway Quarrying fine sand is washed to a high level before being dried and graded in order to meet strict client requirements. All Stornoway Quarrying sand product is organic and silt free, which means all you get in the bag is pure fine sand. The fine silica sand is extracted from the silica quarry at Birralea and transported to Stornoway Quarrying’s Bakers Beach site where is it is prepared and bagged ready for sale.
Stornoway Quarrying’s fine sand (30:60 or 600 micron to 250 micron) is usually washed, dried and then graded to make it the perfect sand for applications such as rendering, painting, sand pits, golf courses and blasting. Due to the processes the fine sand goes through it is also ideal for high quality filter sand in aquaculture and agriculture as well as commercial and domestic water filters.
All Stornoway Quarrying silica sands are PI negative creating the perfect pure sand and are availble in 20kg bags, one tonne bulk bags and by the tonne in trucks and trailers.
