Stornoway Community Grants

Supporting Community Organisations across Tasmania

We are often called on to support community organisations and while we are very happy to provide support, it can be a challenge to assess where donations are best placed.

With our Stornoway representation across many Tasmanian and South East Queensland regional communities, we’ve come to understand that no one knows the specific needs of local communities better than our very own Stornoway team.

We are pleased to provide further grants to the following local community groups, all of whom have been nominated by Stornoway staff members.

Panella Netball Club

Palena Netball Club was established in 1965. It was formed when several players from the Hobart Teachers College team decided to form a new club and is now part of the Southern Tasmanian Netball Association.

We are delighted to assist with the purchase of new equipment - netballs, bags, bibs, training equipment, and supporting development of the club teams.

Eat Well Tasmania

Eat Well Tasmania engages with food, agriculture and aligned industries to champion Tasmanian food and the people who produce, promote and enjoy this produce, every day. They champion healthy eating and cultivate opportunities for Tasmanians to enjoy more seasonally grown and valued-added food.

Stornoway supported their Plate with a Mate campaign and assisted with the creation of new resources and activations to help promote the campaign alongside potential opportunities for Stornoway to connect with the campaign.

Bicheno Festival

This community led festival is organised by a small but dedicated bunch of volunteers that are passionate about the beautiful Tasmanian East Coast. The event boasts a considerable lineup of Tasmanian musical talent as well as food and wine celebrating East Coast produce.

Stornoway supported the festival with traffic management services.

Mowers Movember Team

Our Stornoway Mowers are a popular annual fundraising team supporting men's health and wellbeing through Movember. Our Mowbros managed to raise $1840 and we contributed to their excellent efforts and terrific cause.
